MySQL/Maria DBA Senior

The candidate needs to be mature and experienced. Has ability to manage himself and explore the project, directly communicate with the client.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on MariaDB and MariaDB Enterprise experience:
** knowledge the difference between DB versions and plugins for effective migration management
** know how to launch a few different versions of DB on one host
** know how to improve DB config
• Knowledge of MySQL, AWS/GCP is an advantage
* Linux and scripting knowledge
• Intermediate+ English and good communication skills are highly desired
* Stress resistance due to work with production environment that is linked with finance

First: Linux, command-line and shell-scripting knowledge. Server access is exclusively through SSH to the command line, without additional tools.

Second: MariaDB fundamentals, such as running several instances of different versions on one host.

Third: if upgrades are still required, knowledge of version differences, supported plugins and plugin management.
Fourth: only basic SQL and database interaction are required; extensive SQL work was not needed on this project.
They use MariaDB Enterprise, which has additional features and configuration settings compared with the Community edition. Configuration tuning is required.

They need a software administrator, not an SQL developer or database designer.
